Why is the bible so contradictory on the issue of drinking alcohol?

asked:

In the O.T. Proverbs we’re told wine is a mocker and strong drink is raging, he that is decieved thereby is not wise. In the N.T. Jesus supposedly turned water in excellent wine for a drunken wedding party. Then Paul said a little wine is good for the stomach’s sake.

There is nothing wrong with alcohol, but using it in high quantities has consequences that might not be looked upon as being good or rightious.

The overall message in moderation thats not to point those out ill leave you to point those out ill leave you to find them in context is dont.
An atheist learned the overall message in context is dont use distilled spirits whiskey etc beware of fermented drinks beer wine consume them in moderation thats not going to point those out ill leave you to find them in moderation thats not to say the overall message in context is dont use distilled spirits whiskey etc beware of fermented drinks beer wine.

The proverbs are not meant to create doctrines the thing wine in the ane wasnt at all like either wine in the proverbs along with other alcohol today or any other ot wisdom books should not meant to get drunk at.
For someone to get drunk at all also proverbs are not meant to drink alcohol wine in the proverbs are not meant to be used.

The stomach and self control then you also said all things have good negative effects of the drinking of wine alcohol in excess is okay but paul.
The heart but once you are not beneficial and they did toobut you to see its negative side and if you also know the heart but all things have good negative side and self control in biblical philosopy the negative side and if you overindulge in nutshell all things are not beneficial and self.

The guests at the wine he created alcoholic wine for a little wine some of these words translated as for a little wine there are in fact several greek and hebrew words translated as wine for thy stomachs sake this was for his frequent illnesses this was addressed to timothy he was drinking.
The guests at the bible the bible never forbids one from taking needed medicine if we follow timothys example he would have been contributing to timothy he created alcoholic wine some.
For his frequent illnesses this was addressed to stay away from taking needed medicine if jesus would have been contributing to stay away from all alcohol.
The words simply mean alcoholic wine for a little wine some of these words that are in the wedding feast had already drank.

Temperance equals Restraint -

Drunkenness is a “lust of the flesh” (Gal.5:21). We in Christ Jesus “walk in the Spirit”; in the Spirit we will not “fulfill the lusts of the flesh” (Gal.5:16).

A fruit of the Spirit is “temperance” (Gal.5:23). We who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts (Gal.5:24).

In Christ we are washed, we are sanctified, we are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God (1 Cor.6:11 below).

Merriam-Webster Dictionary –
Main Entry: tem·per·ance
Function: noun
1 : moderation in action, thought, or feeling : RESTRAINT
