What God commands Christians regarding alcohol is to avoid drunkenness (Ephesians 5:18). The Bible condemns drunkenness and its effects (Proverbs 23:29-35).

He also says a man who prays with his head covered brings shame on his own head. I try not to pray with my head covered but I dont know about not wearing a hat at the dinner table.
