Our God is Omnipresent

We read in the Bible (Psalm 139) that God is omnipresent. He is literally everywhere that we could possibly go. The Psalm says that He fills all of the universe. At any moment and any place, God is there. Isn’t that amazing?! It’s hard to comprehend or to understand, but there is nowhere that we can go where God is not present.

In the first chapter of Colossians we read that God is present even in the smallest pieces of matter. In every particle of dust or grain of sand, our God is present. He created all of it, and He is present everywhere and with every part of His creation.

Really understanding how it’s possible for God to be everywhere all of the time is well beyond the capabilities of human understanding. Although I cannot really understand or comprehend these facts, I know them to be true and I have experienced that He is always close to me.

Any time I call on Him, He hears my cry – and He does the same for each of His children. Someone once said, “When thousands of Christians are praying privately around the world at the same time, each one can be sure that he is receiving God’s undivided attention.”

During those times when you think you are alone, know that God is there with you. He knows everything that you are going through and He is there for you. Regardless of what you are going through, He is right there with you.

God, you amaze me with your omnipresence, which I cannot fathom. I thank You for always being with me, it is a tremendous comfort to know that You are here. I know You will guide me and protect me through all of the challenges that I face in this life.
